The Fort Worth/Fossil Creek Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott is seeking an outgoing and
self-motivated hospitality Sales Manager.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Sales Manager is responsible for soliciting and booking profitable corporate business for the Fort Worth/Fossil Creek Fairfield Inn & Suites. This self-motivated individual will develop and maintain relationships with new and existing accounts to generate business in order to meet and exceed room revenue goals.

QUALIFICATIONS/PRE-REQUISITES:

  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.
  • Previous hotel sales experience preferred but not required.

  • Be a clear thinking, remaining calm in resolving problems using good judgment.
  • Must have thorough understanding and execution of the sales call process.
  • Maintain professional appearance as direct representation of the hotel.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Minimum lifting 30 lbs.
  • Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and upward reaching.
  • Some exposure to cleaning chemicals.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.

PRIMARY DAILY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with Director of Sales to target specific markets and accounts.
  • Outside promotion of the hotel with more than 50% travel within the Fort Worth area.
  • Qualification and solicitation of existing and new accounts through:
    • Personal Visits
    • Telephone Calls
    • Written correspondence
    • Participation in promotional events
    • Participation in industry and community events, as well as trade shows
    • Travel to industry events and sales calls
  • Develop and maintain exceptional relationships with specified accounts to create trust, loyalty and lasting business relationships.
  • Facilitate sales and marketing presentations for prospective clients.
  • Establish priorities set by Director of Sales for effective time management.
  • Respond to all leads within 24 hours.
  • Be able to enter and retrieve all appropriate information in SalesPro.
  • Maintain up-to-date SalesPro traces on all accounts.
  • Maintain accurate SalesPro computer information on all new and ongoing leads and accounts, including solicitation efforts.
  • Monitor production of all specified accounts and evaluate trends within your market.
  • Ability to multitask with several sales functions, deadlines and responsibilities.
  • Review competitive set and ensure the hotels are consistently achieving and or exceeding its fair share based on the STR report.
  • Report on trends in the industry and local markets.
  • Interact with all departments in a positive and professional manner.
  • Produce and submit weekly sales recap to Director of Sales, General Manager, and RVP of Sales.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings.
  • Assist in special projects as requested by the Director of Sales or General Manager.
  • Develop and implement new/special market programs when needed.
  • Work with Operations department on daily basis.
  • Be highly visible during extraordinary events.
